You're clearly having fun, but if you're serious, here's the difference: If someone insulted or disowned your spouse or child, would you just shrug it off? Of course not. Love creates loyalty. Jesus and the Father are united in love and purpose — so to reject Jesus is to reject the One who sent Him.

Now, the amazing part of the gospel is this: Even though we’ve all turned our backs at some point, Jesus still offers grace. He wants to forgive. He wants to reconcile. The warning isn’t about “cancellation” like we see in culture today. It’s about relationship. He’s not forcing anyone to follow Him — but He’s honest about what walking away means.
