You Don’t Need to Hate People to Stand Against Injustice
If you hate others, you are part of the injustice
Go anywhere online, including here on Medium, and you’ll find plenty of people expressing hateful glee or bitter vitriol over the results of the election or differences over politics, religion, and just about anything else.
People hate each other — and aren’t shy about expressing that hatred.
Politics, religion, and social dynamics (with respect to sex, gender, issues of identity, etc.) seem to bring out the hatred like nothing else. So, leave it to an election to bring our hatred to a high pitch. Well…
I’m here to tell you that if you hate Donald Trump or Kamala Harris or anyone who voted for them, you are part of what’s wrong with America.
If you hate people because of their political or religious beliefs or because of their race, color, gender, sense of identity, sexual orientation, or any other consideration…you’re wrong to do so. Full stop. No exceptions.
If you hate others, you’re not the solution to any of society’s problems. You ARE the problem.
