You are twisting what I wrote. If there are legal reasons that we don’t know about (something I clearly acknowledged is a possibility), then I am not criticizing the school for letting him go.
I also wrote this: “It’s not unreasonable for a school to frown at teachers becoming celebrity influencers, especially if it jeopardizes the privacy of the students, their families, or the teacher’s colleagues.”
If the school had policies or protocols along those lines which Smith violated… then the school was justified in its actions.
