Okay, so come to find out that this week (June 9–15, 2024) is National Pet Wedding Week.
Yeah, it’s apparently a thing.
Maybe you’re as surprised about this as I am. Or maybe you know all about it and think it’s great. If you’re in that latter camp, I got questions…
- Do the guests bring chew toys and catnip as gifts?
- If it’s a dog wedding, does one bark or two count as “I do”?
- Are there bachelor and bachelorette parties?
- Instead of a bouquet toss, do they just play fetch?
- Do they have to sign the wedding license or just do a paw print?
- Do they exchange collars instead of rings?
- Are there pet divorce lawyers?
Inquiring minds want to know.
