The growing consensus among sociocultural influencers and elites is that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) should be pursued and celebrated.

The acronym DEI (which, of course, stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) has come to represent a social and philosophical approach that focuses on creating environments where everyone feels valued, respected, and included, regardless of their background, identity, or experiences.

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords; they are the fundamental pillars of a fair and thriving society.” — Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation

And those who deviate from or who question this concept can sometimes find their careers damaged, opportunities taken away, and even friendships derailed.

Before I am misunderstood…

Count me among those who believe everyone should be kind to one another and respect each other’s humanity as well as, of course, one another’s civil rights.

Nevertheless, no concept or approach should be universally embraced without any questions or concerns expressed…
