Do you ever feel like beating your head against a wall while trying to reason with people in the comments section of Medium? Do you find yourself emotionally exhausted, trying to engage with individuals who seem so angry, so hateful, or so closed off to any perspectives but their own?

I’ve been writing on Medium since 2018. I’m not one of the Medium superstars. Most of my articles get very few views or claps. But I (mostly) enjoy putting my fingers to the keyboard and sharing my stories, ideas, perspectives, and thoughts with the world — however few in the world might read them. :-)
Many writers here on Medium say that we should engage with people who comment on our articles. And that certainly seems like the appropriate thing to do, so I’ve been working on doing that more — as time allows.
But…
That can sure be frustrating and draining.
Not to mention discouraging.
I write on a variety of topics, including faith, politics, history, personal development, AI art, and more. I even dabble in fiction. But a topic…
