Notch,

I have consistently endorsed free speech and free thought on this platform. That doesn't mean I can't and won't push back against things I find illogical or incoherent. Free speech and free thought includes the freedom to disagree and the freedom to challenge. That's what I'm doing.

As to the issue itself...

There’s a crucial distinction you seem unable to recognize or continue to ignore. And that is...

Not all subjective reactions are moral judgments.

Saying, ‘I find this disturbing’ is not the same as saying, ‘This is evil.’ If someone wants to make the latter claim, they must back it up with a moral framework that carries objective weight—or admit it’s just personal opinion.

I’m not the one claiming the Bible is evil. But there are many harsh critics of the Bible on this platfform who DO make that claim. I’m simply asking them to explain the basis for that claim.

If their (or your) answer is ‘personal discomfort,’ that’s not an objectively worthy standard.

It’s a feeling.

Again, that may be quite sufficient for the individual to say "No thanks" and walk away. Fine. I'm not forcing anything on anyone.

But it's not enough for that same individual to demand or expect others to see things the same way.

All the best!
