Nice to Be a Washington Football Fan (Again) — Yes, Even After the Painful NFC Championship

The Commanders won’t be in this year’s Super Bowl, but I’m happy to be a Commanders fan

Let’s talk football. No, it’s not the most important thing in the world. More on this in a moment. Football is a game. It’s just a game, but it’s a fun game to watch. At least it is again. For a while there, not so much. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

The NFC Championship was painful. At least for me and my fellow Washington Commanders fans. To lose 23–55 in front of the entire nation. Yikes! Four turnovers. Unnecessary penalties. Ugh. But…

I’m still proud of the Washington Commanders.

To be 4–13 last season and then go to the NFC Championship this year… that’s pretty impressive.

Kudos to the Commanders’ new ownership team, led by Josh Harris, for changing the culture of the Washington, DC football franchise and to Coach Dan Quinn for transforming the DC area football team into a winning one.

And Commanders’ fans, we definitely have a franchise quarterback in Jayden Daniels.
