If You Believe in Inclusiveness, Then BE Inclusive!

Otherwise…knock off the hypocrisy

I just read a civil critique of a popular religious article here on Medium. At no point did the author of the critique engage in ridicule or name-calling. At no point did he rant and rave. At no point did he call for the author to be canceled or for people to not listen to him. It was just a disagreement.

And yet…

In the comments, an angry individual came swooping in and unleashed vitriol at him. The irony is that, in her comments, she said “Jesus was inclusive,” and then proceeded to accuse this writer of wanting to “exclude” and “shun” (when he did nothing of the sort).

Then, she essentially told him to shut up and never speak to her again — even though it was she who came onto his article and ranted at him!

Clearly, this person carries some pain in her life, and I don’t want to compound that by publicly calling her out. Therefore, I’m not linking to her or the author she lambasted. I would ask that no one try to hunt for her comment.

Just let it go.

I wish her nothing but the best in life.

The only reason I bring it up is that this isn’t an isolated incident.
