When it comes to civic affairs, I believe in the freedom of conscience. As a citizen of the United States and of the free world, I affirm free speech and religious freedom.
However…
If God is real, then when it comes to ultimate truth, it really doesn’t matter what I say or what you say.
If God is real, then what matters more than anything is what God says.
For the purposes of this article, when I refer to “God,” I am speaking of an intelligent Supreme Being that is responsible for and sovereign over this universe and all life within it.
I realize that many religions and socio-political leaders have used this claim (what I just said — or something similar) to gain power and to harm and exploit others. This is why I, once again, wish to make the following clear…
