If God Is Real, Then God Doesn’t Need a Beginning

Don’t believe in God? Okay, but at least be fair about it

Okay, Christian! You believe God made the universe!? Well, who made God?

It’s a question that I’ve heard numerous times in the course of my life. And it’s the basis of a very recent article from a prolific critic of evangelical Christianity here on Medium.

Of course, there are countless Medium writers who bash Christianity on a regular basis. So the above descriptor is hardly unique.

This particular author asserts that the reason Christians claim an eternal God is because they are ignorant. Yep… ignorant! SMH.

According to this author, Christians believe God made the universe simply because they “don’t know” how the universe came to be. Wow.

It’s one of the most ludicrous allegations I’ve read against Christians here on Medium — and that’s saying something!

To be clear, I respect the social, legal, political, and intellectual rights of people to believe in or not believe in God. It’s not my desire to force belief in God on anyone. I believe in the freedom of thought, religion, and conscience for everyone.
