A cyberpunk image generated via MidJourney based on a Bard-inspired prompt

I love AI art and MidJourney. And I’m always on the lookout for better prompts so that I can improve my images.

And most AI art enthusiasts will tell you that, the better your prompt optimization, the better your images.

If you’re new to AI art or if you struggle with optimized prompts, you can look for inspiration from other AI artists on MidJourney (our focus in this article is MidJourney) and you can also turn to AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Google Bard.

I decided to get advice from the latter for this article. I asked Bard for some tips on prompting, and here’s what it said:

  • Be specific. The more specific you are in your prompt, the more likely MidJourney 5 is to generate an image that matches your vision. For example, instead of asking MidJourney 5 to generate “a beautiful landscape,” you could ask MidJourney 5 to generate “a lush forest with a cascading waterfall and a rainbow in the sky.”
  • Use keywords. Keywords are words or phrases that are relevant to the image you want to generate. For example, if you want MidJourney 5 to generate an image of a cityscape, you could use keywords like “city,” “buildings,” “lights,” “neon,” “cyberpunk,”
