I agree, except as perhaps a Jeffersonian version of Christianity that focuses only on the wisdom of Jesus' recorded teachings. And that's not the Christianity I most care about. So, yes, I agree that Christianity is done if Jesus is not the Son of God.

Paul essentially says the same thing in I Corinthians 15.
