I accept that interpretations of and assumptions concerning various passages in the Bible differ. I realized that - not in a comfortable way - when I went to seminary. And I went to a conservative seminary. So, I definitely get that.

What I find disappointing is that some -- not all, but some -- just walk away from church or from Christianity rather than grapple with these things.

I especially find it disappointing when people walk away from the Bible because they see people today not living up to the standards of the Bible. I mean, that should just prove how much we need the Bible.
