How Can You Separate the ‘Bad’ Christians From the ‘Good’ Ones?
Give them the love test
How can you tell the “good” Christians from the “bad” ones?
I know — and have known — a lot of churchgoing people who profess to be Christians. A lot.
Most of them are sincere, conscientious men and women who take their faith seriously, admit they aren’t perfect, and do their best (at least most of the time) to live in a way that reflects positively on the God they believe in.
There are exceptions to the above, of course, but most of the Christians I’ve known are decent people doing the best they can. Not perfect, but doing (overall) their best.
I’ve also read, watched, and listened to many Christians — pastors, authors, influencers, activists — over the years too. That bucket of apples is a little more mixed. Both good and bad. Some of them…really bad.
And I’ve also heard about many Christians — from non-Christians I know in person and have interacted with online — who fall more in that “bad” category. These Christians have done a great disservice to the Lord’s Name.
So…I return to our question…
How can you tell the “good” Christians from the “bad” ones?
