Hi Evan,

For this particular article, I'm just trying to explain the differences between objective and subjective morality.

Do I believe the Bible is an objective source of morality? My answer: I believe GOD is an objective source of morality and that He communicates to us through the Bible. But we still have to do the hard work of studying the Bible and appreciating it for what it is. Too many people don't do that.

As to the Bible disagreeing with itself, we would have to get into some specific examples here. I don't believe differences are necessarily disagreements or contradictions. And I think you have to take into account God's unfolding revelation over time. The New Testament does, for example, fulfill and replace many of the legal provisions in the Old.

Understanding the Bible takes a lot of work.

But, for this article in particular, I'm not trying to get everyone to embrace the Bible necessarily. I'm just trying to get them to see the difference between subjective standards versus objective ones. And be suitably humble as a result of that.
