Having had multiple conversations with many people (especially young people) about American history and the American founding especially, it's been my observation that most people are incredibly ignorant about the Founding Fathers.

In this particular anecdote, Musk said these kids knew that Washington was the first president and that he owned slaves. That's all they knew about him. I can believe that.
