Have Realistic Expectations of Others

People are human. Remember that!

There is something that every single person in your life has in common. They are all human.

Human beings are limited.

That means:

  • We can’t read minds
  • We can only be at one place at one time
  • We forget things
  • We make mistakes
  • We have limited time
  • We have limited energy
  • We can get overwhelmed at times
  • We are not always available
  • We have feelings and emotions
  • We have struggles and challenges

We are human.

Unfortunately, we sometimes expect the people in our lives — particularly those we “need” things from — to be superhuman.

It doesn’t work that way.

Your parents are human. Your spouse is human. Your girlfriend or boyfriend is human. Your children are human. Your boss is human. Your co-workers are human. Your customers are human. Your clients are human.

Everyone in your life is human.
