Dear Theotokos,
This isn’t a question. It’s a bitter rant wrapped in sarcasm, clearly meant to mock. Not to understand. But I’ll respond anyway, not for your sake, but for others who might be reading.
Jesus’s challenge to the rich young ruler wasn’t a universal command to everyone. It was a piercing, personalized call to someone whose wealth had become an idol. It's also in reference to the man's material wealth, not his wife and children. It's laughably absurd for you to suggest Jesus is asking the guy to sell his family members.
And no, Jesus never told anyone to nail themselves to a cross or perform a circus act to prove their faith. That’s a caricature of Christianity, not the real thing. Frankly, I don't even know where you GET such a caricature from.
As for your “bonus” question—there’s so much confusion and irreverence baked into it that it barely deserves a reply. But for the record: Christians don’t believe the Holy Spirit had sex with Mary. That’s a crude misrepresentation. The Bible describes the conception of Jesus as a miraculous act of God. It was a supernatural conception, not a sexual one.
You're free to reject Christianity. But if you’re going to criticize it, do so with at least a basic understanding of what it teaches. Otherwise, you’re not attacking the faith. You’re just attacking your own straw man.
Like a lot of anti-Christian bigots on this platform, you need anger management classes, some therapy, or at least a new hobby. Yet, in spite of that...
I sincerely wish you the very best in life.
