Dan, even though we disagree on some things, I respect your heart and have appreciated much of your writing. You're an excellent writer. I can learn much from you.
I also think, in many of your articles, you've clearly spotlighted some of the major problems in modern evangelicalism.
So, please don't take this next comment as argumentative or antagonistic.
It's just that, when I read this piece, there's a pattern...
- "No one has been able to satisfactorily explain to me..."
- "I do not believe..."
- "I think..."
- "I believe..."
- "I do not believe..."
- "I find the idea..."
- "I no longer want..."
...and so on.
It's such a blatantly obvious -- and yet problematic -- pattern.
I know the article is written from your personal experience and observations. I'm not diminishing that or you personally. It's just that, when it comes to truth, that isn't sourced to you or me.
All the Best!
