Dak Prescott Showed Class in Loss

The same can’t be said for the team he’s been leading

If you’re a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Sunday had to be a bad day for you. And I can understand the frustration and disappointment after your team’s loss to San Francisco this past Sunday.

I get it.

I’m a Washington Commanders (formerly Redskins) fan, and I have a long history of experiencing disappointment. So, believe me when I say that I get it. I really do.

Hey, at least your team made it to the playoffs!

I also get the frustrations over Dak Prescott’s performance. He didn’t have his finest game on Sunday. There’s no question about that. For the third time in his career, he led the Cowboys into the playoffs — and for the third time, failed to lead his team to the championship.

On Sunday, Prescott completed 23 of 37 passes for 206 yards. He threw for one touchdown and (most seriously and disappointingly) two interceptions. In a playoff game, you can’t do that — and expect to get very far.

If those interceptions were rare, one might be able to dismiss them as an anomaly. But they weren’t. He threw fifteen interceptions during the regular season.
