So far, I have read 57 books in 2022. I say “so far,” because it’s December 26 at the time of this writing, and I should be able to complete at least one more by the year’s end. But we’re close enough to the end of 2022 for me to write this article.

Not all the books I read in 2022 were nonfiction. A little fewer than half (25 of the 57) were fiction. I like to mix things up. It’s easier on the brain.

Those of you who follow my writing know I love to read. Over the course of the last five years, I’ve consumed quite a few books.

Thus, some of the books I read in 2022 were re-reads. This year was perhaps my second or third time going through them. Others, of course, I read for the first time.

One of the books I read in 2022 was the Bible. That obviously is my all-time favorite book, but it belongs in its own category…so it is not included in this top 5 list.
