Rational thinking is a vital aspect of being human. At least it’s vital to being a productive human. Unfortunately, there’s less and less critical thinking in our world today. And it may be our undoing.

It’s easy of course to ponder this in the abstract. Let’s make it personal.

Are you a rational or critical thinker?

In order to answer that, it’s helpful to define our terms.

What is critical thinking?

Critical thinking is the process of analyzing and evaluating information to make reasoned and rational decisions. It involves the ability to identify and evaluate arguments, recognize biases and assumptions, and consider different perspectives to arrive at logical conclusions.
