Are you someone who respects and can befriend people who have varied beliefs and perspectives? Or do you sever friendships and relationships when a person holds views different from your own?

Pluralism refers to the acceptance and respect for multiple perspectives, beliefs, or lifestyles coexisting within a society or system. It acknowledges diversity and encourages peaceful interaction between different people and groups.
Tolerance is among the highest virtues in a healthy pluralist society.
When tolerance wanes, pluralism collapses.
The United States was founded on an amalgamation of Deist, Jewish, Christian, and Enlightenment values and principles. As the nation grew and its population diversified, it embraced a pluralistic culture by the late 20th century.
Scandals in government and institutions, alongside the rise of secularization and postmodernism, further led to a questioning of (and active deconstruction of) traditional narratives (such as those offered by religion).
