Anti-Christian Bigotry and Prejudice Alive and Well on Medium
No person, group, or movement is above criticism, but the anti-Christian articles here on Medium are getting ridiculous!

If you hate Christians or Christianity, you’re wrong. Period. No defense or explanation on your part can or will change that fact. You’re just plain wrong.
Based on the number of anti-Christian screeds and rants I read here on Medium, there are a lot of wrong people — on this very platform.
Let me quickly make something clear…
I’m not talking about criticism or holding people accountable. No person, group, movement, or religion is above criticism. And everyone and every group, movement, and religion should be held accountable. If you are writing with such a purpose in mind, all the power to you.
I’m also not talking about disagreement. You can disagree with Christianity, the Bible, Christian leaders, pastors, churches, whatever. I believe in religious freedom, the freedom of conscience, and the freedom of speech.
And I believe there is (or at least should be) a big difference between hate and disagreement. A person can disagree with another person’s beliefs, practices, words, lifestyle, relationships, etc. — and that doesn’t make that person a “bigot.”
What makes a person a “bigot” is if they move from disagreement or disapproval to contempt or hostility. And in this case…
If you hate Christians, you are a bigot.
Period.
According to Merriam-Webster, a bigot is “a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices” and is especially “one who regards or treats the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.”
In this case, the group isn’t racial or ethnic but rather religious. Still, the definition fits. There are plenty of people in…
