Ossiana Tepfenhart wrote a thought-provoking article a while ago posing an important question: “At what point does an ideology become a mental illness?”

The examples she shares — particularly the anecdote about the conversation between a mother and her grown son — demonstrate that many people have indeed crossed that line.

Today, countless people believe (with a straight face) all kinds of wild and crazy things:

And on and on. We live in the Age of QAnon and Craziness.

There is plenty of craziness to go around. Unsubstantiated conspiracy theories and unproven ideological claims don’t reside on just the left or the right…
