AI-Generated Art is Here to Stay

There are indeed many issues to work out, but AI art is here to stay — and we all have to adapt

If I were an artist or illustrator who had spent years honing my talent and my style, I would be legitimately concerned about the seismic change rocking the digital art and illustration community.

At least in the short term, AI art constitutes a serious threat to hard-working artists trying to make a living from their craft.

One person on Twitter expressed heartbreak, saying AI art “was about to lay utter waste to traditional visual art forms.”

Nick Saraev (a writer here on Medium) points out AI art is often better than art by a human artist. He has a point.

AI art is so good that apparently some artists are now having to prove their art is original and is not AI.

In Saraev’s mind, AI art now spells the “the death of art as an industry.
